Day-to-Day Journey

On arrival in Johannesburg meet your driver for a short transfer to Emperors Palace. A plush accommodation, offering a magnificent casino with unparalleled gaming enjoyment, the finest dining options, spectacular entertainment choices and wellness. Check in & settle in your elegant room. Rest of the day at leisure to relax or indulge in the offerings of the complex (not included). later enjoy dinner at a local Indian restaurant.

Overnight in Johannesburg

After breakfast, meet your driver for transfer to Mabula Game Reserve (approx. 180 Kms, 3 hours drive), where an extraordinary encounter with South Africa’s bushveld awaits you. Revel in the sheer variety of animal, bird and plant life as well as the diverse landscapes ranging from grassland plains to rocky outcrops creating a magical wildlife experience you’ll never forget. The Lodge is distinctly African in style, offering comfortable thatch-roof accommodations with luxury finishings, soft neutral bushveld colours throughout and massive windows bringing the African wildlife indoors. Upon arrival enjoy lunch at the lodge & then go for an afternoon game drive which may continue into the early evening. Come back refresh and enjoy dinner served at the lodge.

Overnight in Mabula Game Reserve

Today wake up with an early morning call, get fresh with tea, coffee and light snacks, after which your ranger will escorts you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. Return to the lodge and enjoy breakfast. Enjoy the lodge stay experience and relax. Later enjoy lunch here, followed by afternoon game drive & dinner again in the lodge. You may be in bit of a luck as on certain days lodge may arrange a light lunch amidst the call of Grey Loeries on the terrace or an experiential dinner under the stars in Lodge’s traditional Boma dining venue accompanied by the rhythmic beat of traditional African dancers.

Overnight in Mabula Game Reserve

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge & meet your driver, then head out to Johannesburg (approx. 3 hours drive). Before reaching the airport, enjoy an Indian lunch, then take flight (not included) to George. On arrival at George Airport, you will be met by your driver guide for a private overland tour of the Garden Route. Head on to the quaint town of Knysna (approx. 70 Kms/ 1.5 hours drive) known for its art & craft shops. “The place of the people, beauty and mystery.” Check in to your comfortable centrally located hotel in lagoon view room & enjoy dinner in an Indian restaurant.

Overnight in Knysna

After breakfast, your driver guide shall drive you to the Bloukrans Bridge (about 1 hour away). The Bloukrans Bungy claims to be the worlds’ highest commercial bungy bridge. Weather permitting we have covered walk out onto the arch of the bridge for you to experience its grandeur but the real adrenaline junkies may optionally try to bungy jump from the worlds’ highest commercial bungy bridge (not included). Further enjoy a visit to the Tsitsikamma National Park. Situated at the heart of the picturesque Garden Route. Today the Park incorporates 80 km (50 miles) of rocky coastline with spectacular sea and landscapes. The Tsitsikamma’s spectacular scenery includes the Indian Ocean breakers, pounding rocky shores beneath 180 m high cliffs, ever-green forests and fynbos. Here enjoy lunch at a local restaurant then head back to Knysna Later in the afternoon, embark on a ferry trip to views from it as you cruise the Knysna Heads. Later enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Enjoy breakfast & meet your driver guide for a Private Oudtshoorn Tour (approx. 150 Kms/ 2.5 hours drive). Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world as nowhere else are ostriches found in such great number– but the world’s biggest bird is just one attraction in an area of enormous contrasts. Here you visit the Cango Caves sculpted by nature through the ages, their fascinating limestone formation occurs in a variety of ways. Next head on to the Cango Wildlife Ranch where a tour takes your through different habitats where you can see animals such as the crocodile, exotic birds, tiger, cheetah and white lion. Finally visit the Safari Ostrich Show Farm. Spend some time at this working ostrich farm for an unforgettable tour where you will come face to face with the biggest bird in the world. The tour starts in the breeding camp and ends with an “Ostrich Derby” as local jockeys display their ostrich riding skills. There is also the option of taking a tractor tour through an ostrich camp (at an additional charge). Enjoy an Indian lunch at the Safari Ostrich Farm & dinner in comfort of your hotel, which is an elegant boutique accommodation.

Overnight in Oudtshoorn

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then travel to Cape Town, via the Route 62. Cape Route 62 is the tourist route in the Western Cape that meanders between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn. It’s an area of magnificent landscapes and towering cliffs, crystal clear streams and an abundance of trees and indigenous flora. En-route settle for lunch at Jan Harmsgat Restaurant in Swellendam (approx. 225 Kms/ 3 hours). Continue your journey & next on the list is Haute Cabriere Wine Farm in Franschhoek (approx. 180 Kms/ 2.5 hours) where you enjoy a Classique Discovery wine tastings with Macaron Pairing. From here drive to Cape Town (approx. 85 Kms/ 2 hours), have dinner in Indian restaurant & check in the comforts of your elegantly appointed room of your property.

After breakfast meet your driver guide and head for Cape Town city highlights. Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views (weather permitting), then pass through Malay Quarter, Castle of Good Hope, Houses of Parliament and the Company Gardens. Travel to Sea Point and Camp’s Bay for scenic ocean vistas. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant located in the Cape Malay Bo Kaap area of Cape Town. Continue to enjoy the Cape Town’s shopping experience that can range from luxury boutiques and shopping malls to market shopping that is famous here as many of them sell proudly South African or African products. Visit The Watershed, a beautiful and vibrant space where more than 365 brands are offered to visitors including ceramics, textiles, furniture, fashion and jewellery, follow this with visit to the iconic V & A Waterfront, with over 450 retail outlets selling everything from fashion, homeware and curios to jewellery and tech, it is South Africa’s most popular shopping destination and offers far more than just shopping. Dinner today is at Indian restaurant in V&A waterfront.

Overnight in Cape Town

Post breakfast meet your driver guide, who shall take you for a private Cape peninsular full day tour. You shall be taken at a comfortable pace allowing you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Drive along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay. Weather permitting, enjoy a cruise to Seal Island, to view seals and sea birds at Duiker Island. Travel along Chapman’s Peak Drive (conditions permitting), enjoy Indian lunch in a local seafood restaurant. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the new lighthouse is the most powerful in the world – beams an electric light of 19 million candle power across the ocean.  Why not, ascend to the top of by The Flying Dutchman funicular. Afterwards visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Dinner is no less than a highlight today, head to GOLD Restaurant that offers an authentic African experience. It is so much more than just an African restaurant, a night at GOLD is an immersive experience that will take you on a 14-dish taste-safari paired with traditional entertainment.
