Small Group Tours-

are designed exclusively for an intimate group of maximum 12 like-minded explorers, looking for a boutique group journey. Season wise we have specially chosen destinations on offer. Stays range from carefully picked, high service ratings 4 stars to boutique accommodations, in some cases even upscale 3 stars to nice 5 stars. Experiences are picked to showcase destination’s authenticity and uniqueness. These tours are crafted with original ideas going beyond regular & focused to match the taste of evolved travellers looking for immersive and tasteful journeys.

Small Group Tours- Our small group tours are designed for up to 12 guests, offering intimate, boutique-style travel. These showcase components like local tastings, workshops, backroad gems, nature, wildlife and cultural sites with carefully selected upscale stays. Unlike large group tours that often compromise on quality or some small groups with more guests, trending places and style, our tours prioritize authentic and meaningful experiences. We focus on showcasing the essence of the destination for a richer journey. Price reflects the true value of what we offer, rather than just the destination or number of days.

Tailormade Journeys: We begin with a comprehensive consultation to understand the destination, its offerings and how they align with your preferences, budget and season. We then meticulously plan the itinerary, working with trusted suppliers while keeping you involved. This process typically takes 10–15 days or more, depending on the complexity. A consultancy fee is charged for our time and effort, which is adjusted against the final booking.

Small Group Tours: These have pre-crafted itineraries, so no consultancy fee is charged for sharing information. Upon enquiry, we provide itinerary details, rates and dates. To confirm, guests make a non-refundable deposit (specific to each itinerary), followed by the advised payments & related formalities.

Tailormade Journeys: Suitable for most travellers — solo travellers, couples seeking intimate escapes or special celebrations, as well as families or friends looking for carefully curated experiences. There are usually no age or group size restrictions, though certain destinations or activities may have specific requirements. These journeys are designed for those who value authentic, beyond-usual experiences, going well beyond standard online bookings or generic, price-focused itineraries.

Small Group Tours: Pre-crafted small groups typically host 6–12 participants, adults aged 18+ in generally fit health (flexibility for 16+ within the same family). Groups can include couples, friends, families and solo travellers (possibility of sharing with the same gender by mutual consent). As these tours focus on less common regions or countries, offering original, immersive and tasteful experiences that reflect the true essence of the destination, it is favoured by seasoned travellers, even though some first-timers prefer these over the crowded conventional cities and sites.

We design mid- to high-luxury journeys tailored to guests’ needs, with accommodations from 4-star and boutique to 5-star stays and shared to curated private experiences. Rather than comparing with standard budget or online packages, we focus on personalized attention, curated experiences and exceptional quality, delivering great value for what is offered.

Small Group Tours- Our small group tours may be higher than regular large-group itineraries, as we do not cut corners to meet a price point. With very small, intimate groups, we focus on originality and thoughtful curation — from underrated destinations, backroad gems, local tastings and workshops to cultural and nature experiences. Even compared to some small group operators, our tours offer fewer participants and creative, destination-focused experiences, providing meaningful journeys with excellent overall value.

Tailormade Journeys- We currently offer tailored experiences in over 35 countries worldwide, focusing on destinations we deeply understand either by our personal travels or through deep interactions with local experts as well where we have reliable, high-quality partners. While we specialize more in international destinations, we have few times designed luxury Indian escape to select regions only.  

Small Group Tours- In this we offer pre-crafted boutique itineraries for 6–12 guests, tailored seasonally to select destinations (mostly international) with focus more on less-frequented countries (such as Zimbabwe) or underrated regions within popular destinations (like Sicily in Italy). While our tours are designed for seasoned travellers who have explored the basics, they are also well-suited for first-time visitors seeking memorable experiences beyond commonly visited or trending places.  

Our payment policies and terms are normally shared with our detailed itinerary suggestions. These are depends on specific factors like dates, stay options, products chosen and more such. Still we have defined general terms and conditions on our site https://unusualescape.com/terms-conditions/. Actual conditions if different and expressly shared for specific tours, supersedes the general ones.  

Tailormade Journeys- If you look for shorter holidays of around a week and easy visa destinations, we recommend planning around 2 months in advance for smooth planning, execution and handover. For long haul holidays and time consuming visa process, we recommend planning 3-6 months in advance. Some high demand, special or boutique places should be planned even more prior.  

Small Group Tours- Our small group tours can be booked till stop selling dates, this is generally decided based on destination and itinerary, it can be between 1-3 months prior to start date, so you may book these from any time these are launched on our site and promoted till stop sale dates. Some tours may have early bird discounts, which makes booking earlier even more worthy.  

When booking an experiential tour that we specialise in, it is always advised to take a complete journey from designers like us to maintain the flow, balance of components and similar level of quality throughout the journey. Imagine asking us to paint a part of painting and doing rest through others or yourself. Still in some cases and certain destinations, if possible we may be able to help with part booking of tour or we may ourself suggest you to book certain components on your own, where we feel it works better that ways. On general basis we give one cost for the package, cost break-up if possible can be discussed on case to case basis only.

We specialize in planning and arranging comprehensive land arrangements, including accommodations, transfers, tours, excursions, activities, handpicked meals and select train journeys. Currently, we do not handle air ticket bookings, visas, or travel insurance in house. However, we can assist in planning as per feasible air routes, recommending good flight options and guide you in arranging these services through trusted travel agents. The dealings for these services will be directly between you and the respective agency, not through us.

Most of our tours include only select meals — usually as part of a day tour, curated activity or stay package — while other meals are kept at leisure so guests can explore locally and eat as they prefer. For included meals, specific requests such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other dietary needs (if informed by guest) are shared with our local partners and in most cases they are able to accommodate them, though options may be limited or based on local availability. If certain requests cannot be met we inform guests in advance. Additionally we can suggest places (as per available info) or local hotels can advise restaurants and cafés that may cater to such dietary preferences.

Please note that some countries require mandatory vaccinations or other medical prerequisites. As tour curators, we are not qualified to provide health or vaccination advice beyond informing on the mandatory requirements for your destination, based on our knowledge. For accurate medical advice, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor or medical expert regarding travel-related health needs. Be aware that certain vaccinations and treatments may need to be initiated well in advance of your trip. If you have any pre-existing conditions, kindly inform us in writing, as certain tours may have restrictions, and we will consult with our operators as needed. We also advise carrying a personal first aid kit and sufficient prescribed medications in their original packaging along with your doctor’s prescription.
