Arrive in Melbourne and transfer to your hotel with scheduled group transfers. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or step out for a gentle introduction to the city.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Tasmania. On arrival in Launceston, begin your introduction to the island with a guided exploration of the city, including the scenic Cataract Gorge and a ride on one of the world’s longest single-span chairlift. Ease into Tasmania’s relaxed rhythm as the landscapes begin to unfold.

Journey through Tasmania’s changing landscapes to Cradle Mountain, with a stop in Sheffield, the “Town of Murals.” Walk beneath rugged alpine peaks around Dove Lake (weather permitting), with a chance to observe endemic wildlife in its natural environment (sighting not guaranteed), followed by a relaxed lodge lunch set amidst the wilderness. On your return, enjoy a self-guided cheese tasting at a local dairy.

Travel through the Tamar Valley, one of Australia’s notable cool-climate wine regions. Visit an acclaimed vineyard estate for a private tutored wine tasting followed by a leisurely lunch, before continuing to Freycinet National Park. Settle into your lodge, surrounded by pristine coastal landscapes overlooking Great Oyster Bay.

Set out on a privately guided journey beyond the city to explore one of the region’s lesser-known coastal landscapes. Visit a working pearl farm for an immersive experience, including a scenic cruise to the oyster leases and a behind-the-scenes introduction to pearl farming and grading. Continue to a relaxed three-course waterfront lunch, before returning through national park landscapes with opportunities to pause at viewpoints and, if fortunate, spot native wildlife in the open.

- Two group airport transfers are included on arrival, aligned with the most common flight timings; private transfers can be arranged for others at an additional cost.
- All transfers during the journey are included, as the group travels together throughout the itinerary.
- Departure transfers on the final day are not included, as guests travel on different flights; these can be arranged on request or through the hotel.
- Our journeys are designed for very small groups and are led by experienced local guides and driver-guides rather than a tour escort from India.
